I've worked my way to the bottom of the bug list and all the problems (that I know about) are fixed. There's one remaining problem - and it was there back in v1.2 - and that's frame rate. I'm aiming to get the game finished by the end of the weekend. I've made a few more changes this evening.

One thing occurred to me: you can run out of fuel so why can't the missiles? So now they do. After a their fuel is spent they lose all thrust and spin out of control, usually ending up crashing somewhere pretty soon. You're really going to need those shields on this level because there are a lot of guns going off in that wrap-around shaft down the middle. It's fairly taxing: at the moment I can complete it in around 55 seconds.

Well I've just spent a few hours testing this one out and it's one of the most fun yet. It can be completed in around 35 seconds once you get all your turns worked out – assuming you manage to avoid all the missiles, that is. There's a bank of three missile launchers that fire at different intervals. So sometimes you have to deal with three at once.

I made this level the other night which leaves just four more to go until the game can go live.

If you look closely at the screengrabs you'll notice that I've also redesigned the game status bar in the top right corner. The new circular icon at the end shows which game mode you're in (Full Game or Time Trial) and the three bars curved around the icon show how many shields you have left.
